This immersive program explores 'Stepping', a dynamic dance form in which the body is used as a percussive instrument to produce complex polyrhythmic beats.  Through engaging workshops, students learn both historical foundations and core techniques of the form - integrating movements that improve strength, balance, coordination and precise rhythmic timing. Through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches, students advance their musical knowledge, develop strong interpersonal skills, project their voices, execute learned choreography, and gain a more extensive understanding of pattern recognition. This program encourages confidence, teamwork, and creative expression while deepening the understanding of Stepping's cultural significance and lasting impact on society. Upon completion, programs typically culminate in a final student showcase.  ​​
